About The Market

The Cotswold Farmers Market is one of the best Saturday morning experiences around.  Located in what some would call the heart of Cotswold, the market is gaining a reputation as the “in town” place to find local produce direct from the grower.  Our vendors and farmers are local, producer only and well-vetted by our Market Manager and Board. Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, breads, seasonal fruits, veggies, eggs, or meats, you’ll find it here.  Need fresh cut flowers and handmade soaps? We’ve got those too.  The Cotswold Farmers Market showcases local musicians as well.  Listen to bluegrass or easy jazz on any given Saturday morning while you shop with vendors you know and trust, stroll the market with a coffee, chat with neighbors and friends, join in with monthly activities for children and adults.  One visit, one Saturday and you’ll be hooked.

History

This club is focused on touching the local market where needs and service meet.  2016 was the inaugural year for The Cotswold Farmers Market.  While farmer’s markets have become an integral part of creating healthy and thriving communities, Rotary Club of Charlotte Providence sought to create a venue where local, producer-only farmers and vendors and community could merge.  As well, CPRC sought to build a gathering place for the community to provide education and share the message that healthy eating is not only nutritious but vital.  During the first year, 26 vendors enthusiastically came forth and a colorful tent city emerged Saturday mornings from 8AM-12N at 309 S Sharon Amity.  The swell of interest from vendors, sponsors, and the community compels greater opportunities for the 2023 season with our relocation to 4921 Randolph Rd (in the parking lot of Providence Baptist Church).  The market is self-sustaining and a not for profit entity.
