Weekly Chef Demonstration

The Cotswold Farmers Market features seasonal chef demos. A variety of local and talented chefs, including restaurant owners, head chefs and personal chefs, visit the Market to demonstrate shopping and cooking with farm fresh foods.

Our Market vendors donate their local harvest to the featured chef of the day and in-turn the chefs talk about the vendors and their beautiful, tasty goods; while preparing seasonal dishes.

Not only do Market-goers get to sample the local fare, but they may learn new cooking tips and techniques too.

Weekly Entertainment

Every week at the Market, we strive to have entertainers for your enjoyment. This year we have many acts already booked, with a large variety of music types…from beach, bluegrass, folk, fiddling, to the classics. We are also proud to introduce many young entertainers as well as many seasoned professionals. Come out and enjoy the music each week as you stroll the market. These photos represent only a few of the acts we have planned for you. The CFM Board appreciates these entertainers for offering their talents at our Market.

Sharp Saturdays – The first Saturday of each Month

Do you ever wish you could have your cutting utensils sharpened at a convenient time and location? Come to the Market! The first Saturday of each month we will have a vendor in the Market who sharpens your knives, scissors, and other types of blades, including shovels and lawn mower blades. You bring it and Yeoldsharpener will make it sharp again while you shop!

Market Raffle (second Saturday of every month)

The second Saturday of each month, Cotswold Farmers Market sells Raffle Tickets for $2.00 each. At the end of that market day,12 Noon, one ticket is drawn and the winning ticket receives $50.00 of Cotswold Farmers Market – Market Money. The Market Money can be paid to any vendor for items you buy, and is usable any other day of the market…Good Luck!

CMPD Animal Care and Control

Occasionally the Market will provide a spot for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Care and Control trailer/tent to be located at the entrance to the Market. Animal Care & Control has gone mobile with a highly marked vehicle to help increase adoptions by bringing adoptable pets out to the Cotswold Farmers Market. Adoptable dogs, and sometimes kittens, will get to ride out to our location to hopefully meet their new families and find their forever homes.

Strawberry Festival

Even though our locally grown strawberries will be in shorter supply because of warmer than normal weather, followed by a hard freeze this year, we are still celebrating Fresh Local Strawberry season at the Cotswold Farmers Market. On May 20 our children will have a “Strawberry Cutie” contest with our audience selecting the most creative costumes.  Adults will also be able to share their culinary skills by participating in the best “Strawberry Shortcake” contest.  Prizes await the winners of both contests!  Come out and enjoy these old fashion fun events.
